Braebon: MediByte Type 3 Recorder

Using patent pending technology, this next generation type III recorder overcomes the many limitations of current devices. Constructed of smooth nylon/plastic with extra-strength LEMO connectors, the MediByte was designed for durability. Weighing less than three ounces, it is ideal for both adult and pediatric studies. Side wings attach the unit to the chest effort belt so that a holding vest is not required. On-board oximetry, pressure and body positon sensors eliminate external transducers.

An auxiliary (AUX) port provides a high sample rate channel for a variety of applications, including sound, EKG and EMG. Use the sensitive snore microphone for high frequency snoring analysis and a derived quantitative dB sound level. Use EKG electrodes for 24-hour holter monitoring or EMG electrodes to record bruxism or other myoclonic events.

An oversized, tactile pushbutton allows the patient to indicate specific events during a recording. Studies are stored on the internal memory and downloaded via a USB computer connection. This recorder is the next generation of screening devices.

Cadwell: Easy III Sleep Diagnostic System

The Easy III PSG/EEg System can collect simple to complex PSG and EEg montages. Eight additional DC inputs may be added for PSG recordings and powerful add on modules are offered that allow Q-Video, oximetry data, body position, and nasal pressure airflow to be collected.

CleveMed: Sleep Scout

SleepScout is a type III sleep monitor that exceeds the AASM guidelines and CMS requirements. This simple, compact tool allows for preliminary assessment of sleep disordered breathing and periodic leg movements to be made outside of the traditional sleep lab, such as in a patient's home or in a hospital setting. Data is stored on a removable SD memory card for later retrieval. The small, handheld size makes the SleepScout comfortable to wear, eliminating the need for long lead wires that limit patient mobility. The simplicity of the SleepScout system makes it practical for quick, efficient patient monitoring. It contains the same advanced software as the Crystal Monitor PSG series (20-B and 20-S) and Sapphire PSG. It is one more solution from CleveMed for expanding the reach of your sleep lab.

Embla: Embletta - The World Standard Level III Home Testing Device

The Embletta boasts over half million studies worldwide, and has been designated by the AASM for use in their landmark study on Portable Monitoring in the Diagnosis and Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Along with its user-friendly software, the Embletta is ideal for the direct measurement of sleep quality and sets the standard for diagnosing Sleep Disordered Breathing.

Itamar: Watch-PAT100

The Watch-PAT100 provides a new screening, diagnostic, treatment assessment and patient follow-up possibilities in the medical management of sleep-related breathing disorders. The Watch-PAT100 is designed to fulfill the unmet need for an ambulatory, reliable, patient friendly diagnostic evaluation tool that is accessible to the great number of OSA sufferers, and to the equally important need for a cost effective means for follow up of treated patients. The Watch-PAT100 opens new clinical avenues for the practice of sleep medicine.

The Watch-PAT100 is a self-contained device that is worn on the wrist and uses a non-invasive finger mounted pneu-optical probe to measure the PAT signal. The recorded signals are stored in a removable memory card in the device to be downloaded to a computer for automatic analysis utilizing proprietary algorithms. In addition to the PAT Signal, the Watch-PAT 100 records oxygen saturation and actigraphy. A fourth channel, pulse rate, is derived from the PAT Signal.

The Watch-PAT100 offers physicians and the millions of undiagnosed sufferers of obstructive sleep apnea a new option for ambulatory, patient-friendly, unattended first line diagnostic evaluation of sleep related breathing disorders.

Salter Labs: ThermiSense Oral/Nasal Thermal Airflow Sensing System

Monitor Airflow by Thermal Resistive Technology in conjunction with Nasal Pressure with Salter Labs BiNAPS. The Salter Labs ThermiSense is a diagnostic thermistor temperature sensing system for use during sleep disorder studies. It will deliver an accurate signal to the head box of your PSG recorder.

Sleepmate: RIPmate Respiratory Effort System

The RIPmate Inductive Respiratory Effort Sensors collect data for thoracic and abdominal respiratory effort during sleep disorder studies for recording onto a compatible physiologic recorder. The system measures inductance changes in a wire running through the belt as it expands and contracts with breathing. This change is represented as voltage output from the sensor. The resulting data is both qualitative and quantitative when calibrated with a spirometer. The RIPmate system consists of a belt, a respiratory effort sensor that measures inductance changes in the belt and interfaces directly with a bipolar input on the recording device, and a cable that connects the sensor directly to the belt.
